Monogram ring
2016 || casted silver, wax
The monogram ring was made from silver and features initials that play off the ring's split design. I used a casting process that first required hand-carving the ring from wax and later investing the wax in plaster to create a negative. A flex-shaft dremel proved useful in both carving the wax and finishing the casted piece. This ring served as a quick-start introduction to silversmithing.
